This summer, we're so excited to launch the LEADER LAB designed to help you grow as a leader. Each Sunday at 9:30A we're going to have a leadership development time that will help you lead in the church, at your work, at your school... literally everywhere. It will take place from 9:30A to 10A and we'd love for you to be there!
If you serve in any capacity at BELIEVING, please make plans to join us each week. This time together is huge for every leader from bKIDZ to GROUPS to teams on Sunday. We can't wait to see you there!
Leader Lab #1: 5 Leadership Habits
http://www.believingchurch.com/leaderlab/2016/6/3/leader-lab
Welcome to the Leader Lab. This is a resource designed to help grow all of us as leaders. Why? Because we all can grow. Because we all must grow. Thought our gatherings on Sunday mornings at 9:30A, we believe that, at BELIEVING, we will grow.
Because leaders are built, not just born. It's not just the choleric, life of the party, type A person who is the leader. Everyone can lead if we're willing to grow... and we must grow. As the leaders go, so goes everything. This is true in any business, family, department, and even the church.
That's why, in this simple teaching, we outlined 5 habits that will grow any of us as leaders. You can learn more about the habits by listening, but here they are, enjoy:
- Read Every Day.
- Meet Someone New.
- Try Something Different.
- Carry Something Heavier.
- Pop the Question [What would a great leader do?].
Hope to see you in the lab again this Sunday at 9:30A at BELIEVING.

Leader Lab #2: Momentum
http://www.believingchurch.com/leaderlab/2016/6/15/momentum
Momentum is an interesting thing. Everyone wants it. Some have it. Most have no idea how to get it. Well, that used to be the case... In this Leader Lab we shared 3 ingredients for creating and sustaining momentum. From your work to your ministry area at BELIEVING... these are the key to triggering and sustaining momentum.
What are they? Here they are...
1. New... this triggers momentum.
2. Improved... this sustains momentum for the short run.
3. Improving... this sustains momentum for the long run.
We'd love you to join us Sunday for our next Leader Lab at BELIEVING at 9:30A.

Leader Lab #3: Personal Leadership
http://www.believingchurch.com/leaderlab/2016/6/15/personal-leadership
If we're every going to truly lead anyone, the first one we must lead is... me. Learning to lead yourself well is critical to leading others well because you must be someone others want to follow in order to be someone others will follow. This is the most basic element of leading... it's being an example. It's the ground floor of leadership.
In this Leader Lab we shared three "P's" of personal leadership. They're basic, but they're critical for all of us to lead well in whatever capacity we aspire to lead in. Here they are:
Be Punctual.
It is impossible to lead if you're they last one there. That's why being on time... even early... enables others to see you as one who can be followed.
Be Prepared.
Showing up on time is a start, but you've got to be ready to do what you were asked to do. You need to have studied the content, reviewed the plan, read the notes, tested the product... being prepared is all about being ready, in advance.
Be Present.
Let your mind and emotion be fully engaged in the place that you are, when you're there. Leaders commit themselves to the people around them, the task at hand, and the progress to be made here and now.
Once we lead ourselves well, we've got the opportunity to begin to lead others well. I hope you'll join us Sunday at 9:30A as we continue to grow together as leader in the Leader Lab at BELIEVING.
