Once Trace and I got into the city, I drove to and parked at the same parking garage my family had used on all our visits to San Fran. So comforting to be in a familiar place with a gorgeous view of the city!
The first stop we made was at the Biscoff Coffee Corner. Trace and I had gotten coffee from there during our previous trip so it was a sweet memory to relive. Once we had our coffee and Biscoff cookies in hand, we walked along Embarcadero. The weather was absolutely gorgeous! A slight bay area breeze cooled us as we walked. We had early dinner plans with friends so unfortunately we didn't make it very far with our limited time, but we saw lots of fun things, like a dog on a skateboard and mouthy rickshaw drivers. I mean, look at this view!
Other memorable memories? Eating our clam chowder bowl from Boudin Bakery, watching the sea lions wrestle and play, and buying my favorite vanilla salt water taffy from the Candy Barron before heading to Crustacean for dinner.
After eating lunch, we walked more around the pier. This is probably my favorite spot to take pictures. I have a few pictures of my family standing just here from years before. I love everything about it. The boats lined up in the background, the blues, the wooden fence in between us and the ocean, and the reflections of the docked boats in the water. I love it here!
Then we walked further and peered out towards Alcatraz. This space definitely had more tourists around, but I can tell why! Just so much to watch, so much to soak in.
Then we saw our favorite friends...the sea lions! It's always so much fun to watch them play.
Admittedly, my favorite store is the Candy Baron. I've loved this place and all the nostalgia it held for me. My favorite candy? There is something about their plain vanilla taffy that is just so good. I grabbed a big handful of those.
Good bye, San Francisco! Until one day!

I honestly think this bear has been in front of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory since my childhood. I'm pretty sure my parents have pictures of it! I wanted one last picture, but since someone was sitting down I didn't want to bother them. So this picture will do!
We left the pier right before our dinner plans and remembered that some of the fun is actually driving around the streets of San Francisco. I had forgotten about the steep inclines and how it's like a roller coaster. So thankful that my parents' car was not a stick shift!
Good bye, San Francisco! Until one day!
