Experiencing Jersey Boys

I remember hearing their songs growing up, and of course not giving anything real thought to who they were or their story.

Now that I'm older and have a husband who's a musician, I can really appreciate how the guys had to hustle and sacrifice to get their sound out there. I'm not sure how sure how far they would've gotten without Bob Gaudio's talent for writing and melody.

Beyond the music, one of the things I enjoy about Jersey Boys is the inside look. It wasn't easy for them, they did dumb things, they struggled as individuals and as a band. I appreciate the honesty behind that.

Frankie made me think about so much. Like, if a man can take on a friend's insane debt, what does that make him? Stupid? Loyal? Rare? What does it feel like to lose a daughter? Fame can't take away the pain. Does everyone have a huge ego whether they recognize it or not? How hard would I work for my dream?

And throughout the entire show, I cannot decide which song is my favorite!
