Minneapolis Day 1: Good Day Cafe

• Good Day Cafe Bad Day Bar
• Target

T and I woke up early to head to the airport. It was a busy Saturday and the first I’ve ever flown on a weekend. I made it through Security with minimal anxiety and headed to my gate.

I’d like to mention here, even though I don’t have a picture to show for it, that I love morning flights because as you’re sitting and waiting to board, you’re usually privy to some beautiful sunrises.

On the plane I sat next to a Mennonite woman named Ruth (eventually I’ll write a follow up post about our conversation, because I think it was important.)

I finally reached Minneapolis. L managed to pick me up unscathed and we headed to Good Day Café Bad Day Bar which was definitely worth the wait. I had the Alaskan—Nova style wild caught Alaskan Salmon on an English muffin with two poached eggs with hollandaise, capers and Good Day Cafe potatoes—it was really, really good.

We headed for L’s house and I loved seeing all the trees and all the colors of fall. They’re so vivid in color here. The photos didn't do them any justice originally so I did enhance them just a bit to get them to look more like they do in real life.

The night ended with a trip to Target where I bought some tank tops from Target’s new line. We also bought Hocus Pocus to watch along with some snacks and dinner stuff.

L's pup and I are actually friends this time around and she graced me with her presence next to my bed for a second. Love those big brown eyes!
