Minneapolis Day 3: Minnehaha Park

• Slept in
• Saw the Mississippi River

Today was pretty awesome.

I got to sleep in for as long as I wanted, which is a rare thing. I sat on the couch with no errands to run, no things to clean.

When L got home from work, we went to Minnehaha Falls, which is the only waterfall on the Mississippi River. It was really beautiful. Had it been a little warmer, I think we would have stayed longer.

We left for lunch and ate at Highland Grill, which was so delicious! I have not been disappointed with your food yet, Minneapolis. I had deep fried cheese curds for the first time—talk about life changing. Life. Changing.

I chose the pumpkin pancakes and knew that I had made the right choice when they came out—they were like soft, doughy ginger snaps (and I love, love, love ginger snaps) with fluffy whip cream and a side of hashbrowns. I was a very happy camper.

Then we went to Spyhouse Coffee, where I got a Spy Girl—a lavendar and honey latte. I loved the atmosphere so much. It’s built so that you can just casually walk up and grab a cup of coffee or take a seat and get some work done.

Where was your last good cup of coffee from?
